Branding (1st draft)
Process in order to achieve my final piece:

I struggled to create my own production company logo as I struggled to decide on my genre, which would heavily impact the way I approached and designed this logo. However, after various drafts, I designed a logo that I was satisfied with as it covered the majority of the conventions I aimed to cover and linked to the horror genre I ended up going with. However, before arriving at this final design, I made a list of the various aspects I wanted my logo to cover which are the following:
Firstly, I started by focusing on the name for the logo as this would then help me decide on the icons and shapes I wanted to add after it. I chose to start off with very simple names such as "Inda Productions" which is basic and consistently done by everyone when creating their logo by using their second name or joining their first and second name, which I believed lacked originality and difference from the rest so I chose not to go with that idea. Moreover, I started looking at some icons linked with the horror genre such as the half-moon or the faded mountains which ended up being part of my final piece. The faded mountains I thought really professionally enhanced a horror like theme and connoted incompleteness and created this vague image, linking to horror scenes and recreating maybe a shadow, which was also very convenient. On the other hand, I chose to add a film tape icon on the side to clearly portray the film industry and I also used a grey shadow to further emphasize the horror genre.
In terms of my final title, I chose to go with"Skyline Productions" as I thought it was very original and different from other ones I had already seen. I also chose to structure the film title in a specific way by placing productions further apart, making it representative of the disruption and disequilibrium found in horror films and enhancing this tense atmosphere.
I took advice from previous year 12 media studies students in order to use specific logo creating apps but chose to go with Wix Logo Maker as it satisfied the basic needs of my genre and it was easy to use as I am not a huge expert in editing and I easily managed to create mine. Besides, this app directly gave me a huge amount of ideas as soon as I inserted my production name and it adapted to what I was looking for as it asked for a small questionnaire before giving you ideas.
